Içmeler: Situated 9km west of Marmaris, a well-planned, purpose-built resort with a cosmopolitan, international flavour, luxury yachts bobbing in the bay and holidaymakers sipping cocktails at the sea-front bars. At the foot of lush green mountains, it has a stunning beach flanked by an abundance of scented colourful flowers in well-kept gardens. There is a wide range of sporting activities to burn off excess energy, when the beach is crowded in high season, or for a more relaxing escape take a boat trip around the bay and seek out one of its deserted beaches.



There are plenty of shops, along with its indoor market. You will find stalls selling an assortment of crafts and knick-knacks for the souvenir hunters while taking a wander along the banks of the river. Do not forget the weekly Wednesday market opposite the post office (PTT), which offers many good buys and specialises in local foods.



Içmeler is not a clubbing resort; its town’s bars offer nightlife, giving you plenty of choice, a lively atmosphere and stay open until late. There is one nightclub for those who enjoy a dance, and some bars offer discos, karaoke and live shows.
